KENT, OH- The Orange Lions fell to Kent Roosevelt 6–2 Thursday night at Kent State University in a game that saw all eight goals scored in a wild third period.
Orange struck first when Russel Tye buried a shot just over a minute into the final frame, giving the Lions early momentum. Kent Roosevelt answered quickly, tying the game less than a minute later. Five minutes in, Noah Rice reclaimed the lead for Orange with a well-placed finish that put the Lions ahead 2–1.
From there, however, the Rough Riders took control. Kent stormed back with five unanswered goals, overwhelming the Lions and sealing the victory.
Orange will look to rebound Friday night when they return home to host Canfield at 8:50 PM at The Pond.
