Patel Punches Ticket to State Finals with 2nd-Place Finish at Districts

AKRON, OH- Anuja Patel is heading back to the OHSAA State Finals after a strong showing at the District Meet on Wednesday at Good Park Golf Course.

Patel fired a 75 to finish in second place, just one stroke behind Elizabeth Pollock of Chagrin Falls, who claimed the top spot with a 74. The performance secured Patel a return trip to the state tournament for the second consecutive year.

Consistent play throughout the round kept Patel near the top of the leaderboard, and her poise under pressure once again proved key in advancing to the season’s biggest stage.

She will now look to build on last year’s state appearance as she represents Orange on the biggest stage in Ohio.
