Orange Swimmers Sweep Chagrin Falls Behind Standout Performances and Relay Dominance On Senior Night

PEPPER PIKE, OH- The Orange boys and girls swimming and diving teams put together an impressive night at home on Friday, sweeping Chagrin Falls behind strong individual swims and dominant relay performances on Senior Night.

The Orange girls edged Chagrin Falls 89–81, fueled by multiple event winners and clutch relay victories. Charlotte Bolton led the way with a pair of individual wins, capturing the 200 freestyle in 2:13.68 and the 100 backstroke in 1:09.91. Aanya Chepyala also delivered a standout performance, winning both the 50 freestyle (26.90) and the 100 freestyle (59.06), while Lucy Jais added a victory in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:08.17.

Orange’s relay teams proved decisive in the final score. The Lions took first in the 200 freestyle relay with Chepyala, Liz Campbell, Jais, and Bolton combining for a winning time of 1:48.90. The girls closed the meet in strong fashion by winning the 400 freestyle relay as Chepyala, Jais, Bolton, and Campbell touched first in 3:57.74. In diving, Elizabeth Moody placed second on the 1-meter board, while Violet Tomino finished close behind in third to add valuable points.

On the boys side, Orange pulled away for a convincing 104–66 victory, highlighted by depth and speed across the lineup. Levi Vanderhart paced the Lions with wins in both the 200 freestyle (2:00.90) and the 500 freestyle (5:29.98). Galvin Dovgan added a first-place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.35, while Sam Amato won the 100 freestyle in 48.00.

The Orange boys were especially strong in the relays, sweeping both freestyle relay events. The 200 freestyle relay team of Dovgan, Gianni Cakulev, Michael Shuster, and Amato captured first place in 1:33.17. The same quartet closed the meet with a win in the 400 freestyle relay, finishing in 3:24.21 to seal the team victory.

With balanced scoring, multiple individual champions, and relay teams that delivered when it mattered most, the Orange swimmers and divers showcased their depth and strength as they continue to build momentum this season.
