PARMA, OH- The Orange Lions capped off their Sunday matchup at the Normandy Thanksgiving Tournament in Parma with a thrilling 6–5 victory over the Wooster Oilers, powered by a dominant five-goal performance from standout forward Noah Rice.
Orange struck early and often in the first period, jumping out to a 3–1 lead behind a natural hat trick from Rice, who seemed unstoppable every time he touched the puck. His early surge gave the Lions control of the game and set the tone for a high-scoring showdown.
Wooster clawed back into contention with a quick goal to open the second period, trimming Orange’s lead to 3–2 and shifting momentum. But the Lions responded with composure and energy, extending their advantage early in the third when Branaghan Blasier buried a shot to make it 4–2.
Rice wasn’t finished. The Orange star added two more goals in the final period, giving him five on the day and providing the offense the Lions needed to stay ahead. Despite a late push from the Oilers, Orange held firm to secure the one-goal win.
With sharp execution and a breakout performance from Rice, the Lions left Parma with a hard-fought tournament victory and plenty of momentum heading forward.
