Orange Lions Fall to Harvey 51–34 on Senior Night

PEPPER PIKE, OH- The Orange Lions saw their Senior Night celebration end in a tough 51–34 loss to the Harvey Raiders, despite a competitive start and strong individual performances.

Both teams came out locked in, trading baskets throughout the opening quarter. The Lions matched Harvey point for point, ending the first frame tied at 12–12. The highlight of the quarter came just before the buzzer, when Mackenzie Mitchell drilled a last-second three-pointer to keep Orange even.

Harvey began to create separation in the second quarter, going on an 18–10 run to take control heading into halftime. The Raiders continued to apply pressure after the break, outscoring the Lions 9–4 in the third quarter to build a 39–26 advantage entering the final period.

Orange battled in the fourth, but Harvey’s lead proved too much to overcome as the Raiders closed out the 51–34 victory.

Isla Osterman led the Lions offensively with 19 points, knocking down a three-pointer and converting all four of her free-throw attempts in a strong all-around performance.

The Orange girls will look to bounce back on the road as they travel to Shaker Heights on Monday for a 6:00 PM tip-off.
