Orange Lions Edged by CVCA 8–7 in Thrilling Thanksgiving Tournament Showdown

PARMA, OH- The Orange Lions and CVCA put on a high-octane display of offense at the Normandy Thanksgiving Tournament in Parma, with CVCA ultimately escaping with an 8–7 victory after a dramatic back-and-forth battle.

Orange wasted no time seizing early momentum. Noah Rice opened the scoring with a quick strike, followed moments later by a goal from Silas Rogers to put the Lions up 2–0. But CVCA answered with resilience, capitalizing on two scoring chances to draw even at 2–2. Before the period closed, Max Golubitsky struck, restoring the Orange lead and sending the Lions into the first intermission ahead 3–2.

The second period showcased even more offensive fireworks, as both teams traded blows. Orange’s Ben Hegyes found the back of the net to keep pace with CVCA, who matched the Lions goal for goal, setting up a tense final frame with Orange clinging to a narrow advantage.

In the third period, CVCA surged, outscoring Orange 5–3 in a wild stretch that saw momentum swing rapidly. Despite a determined push from the Lions, the comeback effort fell just short.
