Orange Lions Dominate Senior Night with 8-0 Rout Over Cleveland Benedictine

PEPPER PIKE, OH- The Orange Lions boys soccer team made Senior Night a game to remember with a dominant 8-0 win over Cleveland Benedictine on Wednesday night.
Before kickoff, the Orange Athletic Department honored the team’s eight senior players, and the Lions responded with a performance worthy of the occasion.
The match began with a burst of energy as the Lions scored three goals in the first six minutes. Evan Novak opened the scoring after receiving a well-placed assist from senior Anthony Spidalieri. Just two minutes later, the duo connected again—this time with Novak feeding Spidalieri for a goal, putting Orange up 2-0.
The Novak-Spidalieri connection struck once more moments later, as Novak scored with yet another assist from Spidalieri. Spidalieri then turned goal scorer himself, converting a corner kick to give the Lions a 4-0 lead heading into halftime.
The offensive pressure didn’t let up in the second half. Owen Walinsky found the back of the net after receiving a pass from Spidalieri, before Kai Diviney added another goal to stretch the lead to 6-0. Spidalieri’s outstanding night continued with another assist, again finding Walinsky to make it 7-0.
Salvador Navarrete De Arebola closed out the scoring, capping off an 8-0 shutout win for the Lions.
Spidalieri finished with a remarkable 2 goals and 4 assists, leading the way in a game that showcased Orange's offensive power and team chemistry. With strong contributions across the board, the Lions sent their seniors out in style.
