PERRY, OH- The Orange Lions dropped a tough road contest Tuesday night, falling 54–48 to Perry in a game that featured multiple lead changes and went down to the final minutes.
Both teams traded momentum throughout the night, with neither side able to pull away for long. Orange stayed within striking distance the entire game, answering Perry runs with timely baskets and defensive stops, but couldn’t quite get over the hump late.
Dillon Mathur led the Lions offensively, scoring 13 points and knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. His perimeter shooting helped keep Orange close during key stretches of the game. Jonah Marderstein chipped in nine points, providing a steady presence as the Lions pushed to regain the lead in the second half.
Despite the loss, Orange showed resilience on the road and competed until the final buzzer. The Lions will look to build on that effort as they regroup and prepare for their next matchup.
