Orange Golf Places 7th at Aurora Invitational; Heiser Leads with 80

AURORA, OH- The Orange High School boys golf team secured a 7th-place finish at the annual Aurora Invitational on Sunday, closing the day with a team score of 333. The event, held at the Barrington Country Club, featured tough competition and challenging course conditions.
Akron Hoban took top honors, dominating the field with an impressive team total of 296.
The Lions were led by Sammy Heiser, who posted a solid round of 80 to pace the team. Close behind was Charlie Thomas, who shot an 82. Jayden Park added an 85, followed by Russell Melvey’s 86 and Jordan Clotman’s 87 to round out the scoring five. Ethan Feldman also competed, finishing with an 89.
Despite the middle-of-the-pack result, the Lions showed depth and consistency. The team will look to build on this performance as they prepare for the OHSAA State tournament.
