PEPPER PIKE, OH- The Orange Lions dropped a 59–36 decision to Chagrin Falls on Saturday night, unable to keep pace after a strong opening quarter. Orange trailed just 12–10 after one quarter, thanks in large part to Ryder Osterman, who scored six of his team-high seven points in the opening period to keep the Lions within striking distance.
Offense became hard to find in the second quarter for Orange, as the Lions managed just one field goal in the period. Chagrin Falls took advantage, extending its lead and sending Orange into halftime trailing 23–16.
The third quarter saw both teams trade baskets, but the Lions were unable to cut into the Tigers’ advantage. Chagrin maintained control heading into the final frame, then pulled away in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Despite the loss, Osterman’s early spark helped Orange stay competitive early before Chagrin Falls’ depth and consistent scoring proved too much down the stretch.
