Orange Cross Country Teams Impress at McDonough Invitational

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH- The Orange High School cross country teams traveled to Forest Hills Park in Cleveland Heights over the weekend to compete in the highly competitive McDonough Invitational. Both the girls and boys teams turned in solid performances, with the girls finishing 7th overall and the boys placing 8th in their respective races.
On the girls’ side, Marina Campbell led the way with a standout race, clocking in at 20:32.15 to earn 5th place overall. She was followed by Zahra Navadeh, who ran a strong 21:30.95, and Noomi Levine, who contributed to the team score with a 24:17.17 finish.
For the boys, Landon Bell led the pack for Orange, finishing in 18:24.08, good for 32nd overall. Close behind was Chase Lepene, who posted a time of 18:25.32, followed by Calvin Schroer at 18:58.78, rounding out the top three for the team.
The Orange runners battled a challenging course and a competitive field, showing continued progress and determination as they head into the heart of the season. Coaches and teammates praised the effort and energy displayed by both squads.
With more invitationals and conference meets on the horizon, the Orange cross country program looks poised for a strong finish to the fall season.
