GATES MILLS, OH- The Orange boys soccer team fell to Gilmour Academy 2-1 on Tuesday night in a competitive matchup under the lights.
The host Lancers came out strong, scoring twice in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the break. Despite the early deficit, the Lions showed resilience in the second half.
Evan Novak gave Orange a spark when he found the back of the net to cut the Gilmour lead in half. The Lions continued to push for an equalizer but couldn’t break through the Lancers' defense.
Goalkeeper Iain Rowe kept Orange in the game with four key saves, but the Lions were unable to overcome the early two-goal hole.
