GATES MILLS, OH- Natalie Martincic put together a dominant performance to claim the 140-pound title at the CVC Girls Wrestling Championships, pinning every opponent she faced—all in the first period—to secure the championship.
Martincic opened her title run in impressive fashion, defeating Gianna Giulitto of Rootstown by pin in the first period. She carried that momentum into the second round, where she quickly pinned Joanna Lopez Pach of Harvey High School, again ending the match in the opening period.
In the semifinals, Martincic showed no signs of slowing down. She controlled the match from the start and pinned Avery Hart of Edgewood High School in the first period to advance to the championship bout.
The finals followed the same script. Facing Kylee Moore of Madison, Martincic wasted little time, scoring a first-period pin to clinch the CVC Championship at 140 pounds.
With four first-period pins on her path to the title, Martincic’s performance stood out as one of the most commanding runs of the tournament, earning her the CVC crown in decisive fashion.
