Martincic Takes Runner-Up Honors at Lady Longhorn Holiday Tournament

ROCKY RIVER, OH- The Orange Lions traveled to Lutheran West for the 2-day Lady Longhorn Holiday Tournament, a highly competitive event that featured 250 girls from across the state of Ohio.
Natalie Martincic delivered an outstanding performance, wrestling six matches over the course of the tournament. She won five of those bouts, four by pin, on her way to a second-place finish.
Martincic opened the tournament with victories over Erin Alexander of Alliance and Palmer Kelley of Highland (Marengo), setting the tone for a strong run. She continued her success by defeating Kathryn Hrpcha of Vermilion, Brooklyn Pryor of Beachwood, and Rielle Hawkins of Elyria, showing consistency and dominance throughout the bracket.
In the finals, Martincic faced a tough challenge against state-ranked Youstina Hanna of Columbia High School. Despite a strong effort, Martincic fell in the championship match, earning a well-deserved runner-up finish.
Her second-place result capped an impressive weekend and highlighted a strong showing for the Lions against top competition from around the state.
