ORRVILLE, OH- Natalie Martincic delivered a dominant performance on the mat Sunday, capturing first place at the Orrville Girls Wrestling Tournament at Orrville High School in the 140-pound weight class.
Martincic capped off her championship run in impressive fashion, pinning Miyah Makoski of Normandy High School in just 42 seconds in the finals to secure the tournament title.
Her path to the championship was marked by consistency and control. In the semifinals, Martincic earned a major decision victory over Sophia Byers of Rootstown High School. Earlier in the tournament, she recorded pins against Izzy D’Archangelo of Lexington North High School and Celeste Sarota, showcasing her ability to finish matches quickly.
Martincic opened the day with another pin, defeating Celena Dang of Lakewood High School to set the tone for a dominant tournament performance.
With a combination of speed, strength, and technique, Martincic stood atop the podium at Orrville, turning in a flawless day that ended with a championship medal.
