Lions Roar Past Lutheran West for Second Win of Season

PEPPER PIKE, OH- The Orange Lions continued to build momentum Thursday night, earning their second win of the season with an impressive 14-3 victory over Lutheran West in CVC action.
Orange’s offense came alive early and never let up, producing runs throughout the lineup. Kelsey Lewis provided a highlight moment, going 1-for-3 with a towering three-run home run to deep center field that helped fuel the Lions’ scoring surge.
Halle Arnold contributed efficiently at the plate, finishing 1-for-2 with two RBIs, while Emily Utech added a hit and drove in a run. Sarah Korland also made her presence felt, going 1-for-3 with three RBIs.
Sarah Zak turned in a standout performance, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a double. Kayla Glazer chipped in with a hit and an RBI, while Emma Saks led the team with two hits in four at-bats, including a double.
Saks also dominated in the circle, striking out five batters to help control the game defensively. Katie Frakion and Kenley Lewis each added to the balanced attack, both going 1-for-2 with an RBI.
With strong performances up and down the lineup and solid pitching, the Lions put together a complete team effort in the convincing win.
