CANFIELD, OH- The Orange Lions showed resilience on the road Saturday, battling back to secure a 6-6 tie against Canfield in a hard-fought contest.
With time winding down and the Lions trailing, Courtney Norton delivered in the clutch, finding the back of the net with just 20 seconds remaining to even the score. Norton finished the game with two goals, including the dramatic equalizer.
Layla Ross led the offensive charge for Orange, recording a hat trick with three goals, while Frances Doyle contributed a goal to round out the Lions’ scoring.
Defensively, goalkeeper Anna Sutton played a crucial role in preserving the tie, tallying nine saves against a persistent Canfield attack.
The Lions’ determination and late-game execution helped them walk away with a well-earned result on the road.
