Lions Break Through with First Win, Defeat Fairview 12-8

PEPPER PIKE, OH- The Orange Lions boys lacrosse team earned its first victory of the season in impressive fashion, defeating Fairview (PA) 12-8.

Orange was led by a strong offensive performance from Charlie Newman, who tallied three goals and added an assist to pace the Lions. Jimmy Bobeck played a key role in the win as well, recording two goals and four assists, while Joey Bobeck contributed with two goals and two assists.

Ben Hegyes added two goals for Orange, and both Hank Vucetic and Jake Ponsky chipped in with a goal apiece to round out the scoring effort.

The Lions showcased a balanced attack and consistent energy throughout the game to secure the win and build momentum early in the season.

Orange will look to continue its success when it hosts Canton Central Catholic on Monday at 6 p.m.
