Demons Pull Away Late as Orange Lions Fall 13–3 on the Ice

CHAGRIN FALLS, OH- The Orange Lions battled early but could not keep pace with Westlake, falling 13–3 Sunday night on the ice.

Orange stayed competitive in the opening period, trailing just 3–2 after one. Noah Rice accounted for both Lions goals in the first period, keeping Orange within striking distance and matching Westlake’s early intensity.

Westlake began to take control in the second period, stretching the lead to 7–3 by the end of the frame. The Lions’ lone goal of the period came from David Chudnovsky, but the Demons’ offense continued to build momentum.

In the third period, Westlake put the game out of reach, scoring six more goals to secure the decisive victory.

Despite the final score, Rice’s two-goal effort and the Lions’ strong opening period highlighted Orange’s competitiveness before Westlake’s depth and finishing proved too much to overcome.
