Campbell’s Comeback Highlights Strong Showing for Lions at OHSAA State Finals

OBETZ, OH — Marina Campbell delivered an inspiring performance at the OHSAA State Finals in Obetz today, finishing 33rd overall with an impressive time of 19:10.5.
Campbell’s race was a story of determination and grit. At the 400-meter mark, she found herself in 73rd place out of 215 runners. By the 1600-meter mark, she had climbed to 60th, steadily gaining ground on the field. At the 3200-meter mark, she surged into the top 50, sitting in 42nd place. With a strong finishing kick, Campbell powered through the final stretch to capture 33rd place, capping off an outstanding state performance.
In the boys’ race, the Lions team earned a 21st-place finish overall, with solid efforts across the board. Griffin Berlin led the way, placing 89th with a time of 16:53.92. Ishan Bhatt followed close behind, finishing 112th in 17:07.93. Calvin Schroer clocked 18:02.57 for 177th place, just ahead of Chase Lepene in 181st at 18:10.75.
Rounding out the Lions’ scoring, Sam Melvey and Landon Bell crossed the line side by side in 18:25.30 and 18:25.35, while Spencer Wolinetz finished strong with a time of 18:29.69.
