Bulldogs Pull Away Late to Defeat Orange 9–3

CHAGRIN FALLS, OH- The Orange hockey team dropped a 9–3 decision to Olmsted Falls on Sunday afternoon, as the Bulldogs used a strong opening period and a late surge to secure the win.
Orange found itself in an early hole, trailing 5–1 after the first period. Silas Rogers provided the lone highlight in the opening frame for the Lions, scoring their only goal of the period to keep Orange within reach.
The Lions showed fight in the second period when Noah Rice netted his first goal of the game, cutting the deficit to 6–2 and briefly keeping the contest competitive.
However, Olmsted Falls regained control in the final period, outscoring Orange 3–1 to pull away. Rice added his second goal of the afternoon in the third, accounting for Orange’s final tally.
Despite the loss, Rice finished with two goals to lead the Lions offensively, while Rogers added the other score. Orange will look to regroup and bounce back in its next matchup.
