Brady Boys Swim Team Places Fourth at Orange Invitational

PEPPER PIKE, OH- The Brady Lions boys swim team put together a strong showing at the Orange Invitational on Saturday, finishing in fourth place with a team score of 53 points. The meet featured top competition from University School, Mentor, Mayfield, Solon, and Shaker Heights. University School captured the team title with 147 points.
Leading the way for the Lions was Mert Ferendeci, who earned 6th place in the 100-yard IM with a time of 1:20.88 and later took 4th in the 400-yard freestyle (5:19.50). Gary Desmond also contributed with an 8th-place finish in the 100-yard IM (1:33.83).
In the sprints, Peter Chaisson claimed 4th in the 50-yard freestyle (30.28) and 4th again in the 100-yard freestyle (1:06.99). Hadi Navadeh turned in a standout performance in the 50-yard butterfly, earning 3rd place with a time of 35.94.
Distance swimmer Nick Yeremian finished 7th in the 400-yard freestyle (6:33.91), rounding out the Lions’ individual scoring.
The Lions also impressed in the relays. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Yeremian, Hunter Greenberg, Desmond Gery, and Chaisson took 4th (2:16.80), while the team of Henry Moody, Sawyer Schneider, Navadeh, and Ferendeci finished close behind in 5th (2:19.00).
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Greenberg, Gery, Ferendeci, and Chaisson placed 6th (5:02.55), and the team of Schroer, Moody, Yeremian, and Navadeh earned 8th (5:55.51).
With several top-five finishes and strong relay efforts, the Brady Lions demonstrated depth, determination, and teamwork throughout the meet—setting the stage for continued success as the season progresses.
