Arcs Surge Early, Hand Lions 72-36 Defeat

LYNDHURST, OH- The Orange Lions ran into a tough test Friday night, falling to the Brush Arcs 72-36 after Brush seized control from the opening tip.
Brush set the tone early, racing out to a 24-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Arcs continued to apply pressure on both ends of the floor in the second quarter, stretching their advantage to 38-18 by halftime.
Despite the deficit, the Lions continued to battle throughout the second half. Dillon Mathur led the Lions with 12 points all from the 3 point line. Aaron Lewis paced Orange offensively, finishing with 11 points.
Brush maintained its momentum after the break, pulling away to secure the 72-36 victory.
The Lions will look to regroup quickly as they head back on the road Monday to take on Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School.
